Notes

Due to the popularity of the Lotus Esprit in The Spy Who Loved Me, Bond is seen once more behind the wheel of two Esprit's.

The first one (White), Bond's uses it to drive to Gonzales hideout.
Whilst investigating, one of Gonzales men smashes the window with a sledge hammer, which causes the 'Extreme' burglar Alarm system to cause the car to explode, this stunt was played by stunt man Bob Simmons.

Bond's second Esprit Turbo, was used in the second half of the film, first seen in Q's workshop and in two scenes in Cortina. The interior trim was top-quality leather by Guigiaro of Italy.
There appears to be gadgets in the car as Bond tells Luigi not to play with any of the switches, but we don't get to see any of the gadgets being used.

After the filming of the white car, the filmcrew repainted it Cobbermetalic for the rest of the film.
