The latest additions to a fantastic private collection of cars was revealed by His Royal Highness Prince Henrik on that Saturday in 2004, and I was present.
One of the Aston Martin Vanquish used for filming the James Bond film 'Die Another Day' is now in Denmark.
The car, certified as one of three road cars used for close up filming, was bought on an auction in England.
Further more an Aston Martin DB5 had been added to the collection. This car came from Australia just one week before this grand opening.
Besides being there, seeing and hearing that car in real life, there are two special things I'll never forget:
First of all, I was allowed to sit in drivers seat and start the Vanquish after the show - that made my day!
Secondly, I met Wing Commander K. H. Wallis, the pilot and constructor of my favourite James Bond vehicle, the autogyro 'Little Nellie' from 'You Only Live Twice'.
Below you will find my pictures from the event.
I would like to thank Jørgen Strøjer Hansen and his team for making the event fantastic and for inviting me. I enjoyed every minute of it - well done.
The Strøjer Collection was startet 40 years ago by Jørgen Strøjer Hansen and his father Thorvald.
Among the museums more than 50 cars are other cars seen in the James Bond films. Not the cars actually used in filming, but cars of the same kind, like a Aston Martin DB5, Aston Martin Volante, BMW Z3 and Rolls Royce Phantom III.
Other cars in the collection that has been seen in some of the James Bond films, but these are not vehicles from the films.
Do you have your own photos of one of James Bond's vehicles and want to share them with the rest of us?
You are then very welcome to mail them to us - and please send a few lines on where and when the photos was taken.
