In SPECTRE the Jaguar C-X75 and the Aston Martin DB10 is racing through the streets of Rome, and on the banks of River Tiber. The Jaguar is driven by Mr. Hinx, Dave Bautista. The Aston Martin is of course driven by James Bond, Daniel Craig.
The Jaguar C-X75 is the most advanced Jaguar ever created according to Jaguar. The concept was unveiled at the 2010 Paris Motor Show celebrating 75 years of Jaguar. The concept car was equipped with two 96-hp Bladon micro jet gas turbines to power the li-ion battery pack. Four electric motors, one for each wheel, provided 580kW (778bhp) gives the car a potential top speed of 330kmh (205 mph). Running under battery alone the range is 110km (68miles). Using the gas-turbines to charge the batteries the range is extended to 900km (560miles) on a single tank.
In 2011 Jaguar announced plans of building a limited production of 250 C-X75 in partnership with Williams F1. The road car is equipped with a downsized petrol engine instead of the gas turbines. The estimated price was between GBP700.000-GBP900.000 depending on the taxes in the markets.
The goals for the development of the road car, was performance like the Bugatti Veyron, range like the Chrysler Volt and CO2 footprint like the Toyota Prius. And of course in a design as close as possible to the Paris show car.
In December 2012 the production was cancelled due to the global economic crisis. Jaguar continued working on five prototypes until May 2013.
On 9. February 2015 Jaguar and EON Productions announced the line-up of vehicles in SPECTRE. The line included the C-X75 concept cars.
The SPECTRE version is expected to be equipped with a supercharged V-8 and not hybrid.
